The Mysterious Disappearance of Prisma Reyes

For Prisma Reyes, April 17th, 2019, should have been a regular day. She dropped her son off at the babysitter that morning and then went to work at the car dealership she was employed by. She went to lunch but was never seen again. No one knows what happened to her. No one knows if she was kidnapped, murdered, or simply walked away from her life.

Prisma was born into poverty and lived with her grandmother in Mexico until her mother married what would be her biggest supporter and the person who has never stopped looking for her, her stepfather Dan. Dan was a truck driver and was able to make enough money to bring Prisma to the states so the family could be reunited. Prisma worked hard to support herself and her son. Unaware to her family, she was working her day job as a paralegal at a car dealership and was moonlighting at night as stripper. She put herself through college and all while raising her son alone.

Reyes was last seen on April 17, 2019. She left her car dealership job for her lunch break at about noon and never returned. She had lunch with an ex-boyfriend at the E Bar Tex Mex restaurant on north Haskell Avenue in Dallas, Texas, and they got into an argument. Eventually her ex-boyfriend left, but Prisma stayed at the restaurant and continued drinking for about three hours. After this, the bartender refused to serve her anymore alcohol. There was a verbal disturbance with an employee, and she was asked to leave. There is a video you can watch of her on YouTube, and you can tell she was either VERY intoxicated or as her stepfather thinks, she was drugged. Police did not find any evidence that Prisma has anything put in her food or drink while at the restaurant. She also called her babysitter and had a long conversation with her which according to everyone, was very odd. There is some discord among the babysitter, Prisma's family, and the police in regard to what that phone call was about and why it was so long. After leaving the restaurant, Reyes was involved in a road rage incident with another driver and had puked her gun out yelling and screaming. The police responded to the scene. By the time they arrived, however, she had left. Sources site that weeks prior to her disappearance, Prism had purchased a gun began she felt she was being followed. She was last seen on surveillance cameras, running into the parking garage of the Olympus at Ross apartment building in the 3500 block of Roseland Avenue. Her ex-boyfriend, the man she had lunch with, lived in that building, but he wasn't at home when she went there. The surveillance footage showed her talking on her cell phone, swaying back and forth as she did so. She made nine short phone calls between 5:49 and 6:01 p.m., five of them to her boyfriend. The second-to-last call was to a friend. Prisma was in the elevator of the building at the time, crying, saying she needed help and felt confused, as if something wasn't right. Her friend was out of state and was unable to assist her. She was not seen leaving the building, but not all the exits have cameras. She has never been heard from again. Peralta Reyes didn't pick up her six-year-old son from the babysitter at the agreed-upon time of 7:30 p.m. At 9:30, the babysitter reported her missing. The next day, her white 2017 Jeep Wrangler was found at the same apartment building. Her family stated it would be completely uncharacteristic of her to abandon her child, and they think she came to harm. Peralta Reyes is originally from Veracruz, Mexico, and became a U.S. citizen a few years prior to her disappearance. She lived in Mesquite, Texas, and that city's police are investigating her case. It remains unsolved. If you have any tips or know where Prisma Reyes may be or what happened to her, please call the Mesquite Police Department 972-285-6336.

Help to bring some closure to this family.
