UPDATE: Sherri Papini Case!

If you have not heard about the Sherri Papini case, go check out the blog I wrote on this case a few months ago. This is the case of the pretty, young blond mother that was " kidnapped" in November in 2016. She disappeared after going jogging and from the start this case was very suspicious to me. If you read the blog, my opinion was all through it. Now, my opinion has turned to fact!

So come to find out earlier this year, Sherri had contacted her ex-boyfriend and told him she was being abused by her husband and needed a way out. The ex, being a knight in shining armor, or so he thought, picked Sherri up and took her to his home. He stated that she slept all the way there and then keep getting more bizarre by the day. She refused to eat (hence the weight loss), ask him to cut her hair, and then to brand her. This woman has some SERIOUS mental health issues or is the most conniving bitch I have ever known about.

After Sherri was done with her "break". she had the ex-boyfriend drop her off in Redding, where she claims she was left there after being kidnapped by two Hispanic women.

The FBI’s affidavit claims that Sherri has a history of attention-seeking behaviors. According to one man close to Sherri, Papini was ‘attention-hungry’ and ‘fabricated stories of being the victim of abuse from her family, father, and then [him] after the couple broke up,’ the affidavit alleges.

It has been hard for many people to believe that she was actually kidnapped. The FBI had a confession from the ex-boyfriend and now Sherri is in custody awaiting trial for lying to a federal agent and mail fraud. Sherri earned close to $50,000 via a GoFundMe fundraiser and $30,000 from the California Victim Compensation Board. lying to a federal agent and mail fraud. Sherri earned close to $50,000 via a GoFundMe fundraiser and $30,000 from the California Victim Compensation Board.

I am glad that the truth has finally come out, but it makes me wonder, how do we prevent these types of attention seeking behaviors in the future?
